Event Details

We are excited to continue our semi-monthly Lunch and Learn, a time for our wonderful coworking members to share their wisdom while we gather for a community meal. At each session, one of our members leads a discussion about a particular area of his or her expertise, and we all then have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversation. Topics vary widely, in alignment with the diverse skill set of our members, and may include: technology, data analysis, literature, environmental sustainability, education, emotional healing, conscious marketing and more.

Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

This event is free to attend.

Please bring your own lunch. A substantial side dish will be offered.

RSVP requested.

The series begins again on February 11th with author and daytime member Allison Gilbert. Allison is an Emmy award-winning journalist and one of the most thought-provoking and influential writers on grief and resilience. Her books include Passed and Present: Keeping Memories of Loved Ones Alive; Parentless Parents: How the Loss of Our Mothers and Fathers Impacts the Way We Raise Our Children and Always Too Soon: Voices of Support for Those Who Have Lost Both Parents. She is also co-editor of Covering Catastrophe: Broadcast Journalists Report September 11, the definitive historical record of how broadcast journalists covered that tragic day. The landmark book was turned into a documentary by the U.S. State Department and distributed to embassies and consulates around the world. A journalist who herself was almost killed on the job on September 11th, Allison is the official narrator of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s core historical exhibition audio tour.

February 25th – Taylor L. on food waste – Starting in January 2018, The Town of Greenburgh, in partnership with the Greenburgh Nature Center, launched the largest residential food scrap recycling program in Westchester County. What systemic problem does this program attempt to solve? How does food scrap recycling work? What does it mean for families and businesses? Taylor will help us understand the journey and potential of recycling food scraps in the rivertowns.
